Talk missions: Vitaliy's questline and the Tin Foil Hat
Some missions are not mailed to you. A character gives them when you talk to them in person. The only Talk questline with English text is Vitaliy's, in the Burning Grove. It ends with a way to craft the Tin Foil Hat.
The short version
- Talk to Vitaliy to start. He lies unconscious in the Burning Grove, which the mission แผนกวิจัยและพัฒนา (ช่องส่วนตัว): ความผันผวนมิติ unlocks.
- You hand items to him. Each request takes the listed items from you when you submit it. Item rewards wait with the character until you take them.
- Eight requests follow each other. The next one starts as soon as you finish the previous one, and you carry on by talking to Vitaliy again.
- Stabilizing Powder is the main cost. You hand over 16 packs across three requests.
- The last request teaches the Tin Foil Hat. Research it, then craft the hat from one Tin Foil.
How Talk missions work
- Stand close to the character (within 9 game units) and talk. The mission is added to your list when the conversation reaches the point where the character asks for something.
- Items a request needs are handed over in the conversation window. Extra items you put there are given back.
- Money and follow-up missions arrive at once. Item rewards are taken from the character's reward list.
- A character with nothing for you says a random line from a short list. Traders also offer their shop.

Steps 6a and 6b can be done in either order. Step 7 starts once both are finished.
Getting the Tin Foil Hat
- Finish Vitaliy: Hat to receive the instructions.
- Move the instructions to a research table; a research project for the hat then appears. Install the instructions on the table, which uses them up, then finish the project with 1 Tin Foil, which is also used up, to unlock the hat recipe.
- Craft the Tin Foil Hat at a Basic Workbench from 1 Tin Foil.
